Artistry, music, poetry unite people in the West and in the East – people with different cultural background, languages, complex, so much unlike and extraordinary. Art reveals the beauty of the world, the depth of our feelings and experiences, helps to awaken our inner world.
We are inviting you to share with us a wonderful feast – the International Festival of Oriental Art and Music “RUMI FEST” that is going to celebrate its fifth anniversary in the hospitable capital of Latvia – Riga from 20 August till 30 September’ 2018.
In keeping in the tradition established last year, this time the Festival also is going to have an extended format. Guests of the Festival will be able to get familiarized not just with the music of the East, but also with its art.
The exhibition “Magic of Uzbekistan. Rishtan ceramics by Alisher Nazirov” will open the Festival. It will be followed by “The Days of Turkish Culture in Europe”. Eventually the Festival will feature the concert by ART-GROUP FLAMENCO, the SEMA ceremony accompanied by Sigulda mixed choir “ATVARS” and Mevlevi music, and the concert by Latvia’s favourite musician and singer IGO.
